In a move to address outstanding electricity bills, the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) has issued a stern warning to its customers.

The company announced that it will disconnect the power supply to all customers who have failed to settle their debts within the next 72 hours.

The deadline for payment has been set for Monday, June 3, 2024, as stated by the acting Managing Director of AEDC, Victor Ojelabi, in a statement released on Friday.

Ojelabi emphasized the importance of timely bill payments, stating, "The prompt settlement of electricity bills is crucial for the continued operation and enhancement of AEDC's infrastructure, which is essential for delivering uninterrupted service to the community."

He further stressed the necessity of adhering to payment deadlines, cautioning, "Customers who are yet to settle their outstanding bills within the next 72 hours will face disconnection of their electricity supply."

AEDC has reiterated its commitment to providing efficient and reliable service, but has warned that this requires prompt payment of electricity bills. The company has urged customers with outstanding bills to settle their accounts immediately to avoid service disruption.
