American rapper Durk Devontay Banks, also known as Lil Durk, has been reportedly apprehended on Thursday, October 24, 2024, in Florida and has since been charged with murder-for-hire.

According to reports by XXL Magazine, he is currently being held without bond. Banks is in custody at Broward County Jail, awaiting transfer to U.S. Marshals.

The arrest follows the confinement of five other culprits earlier in the day, each charged with murder-for-hire and conspiracy to commit murder-for-hire.

The charges stem from the 2022 murder of Saviay’a Robinson, cousin of rapper Quando Rondo, who was killed by gunfire in Los Angeles.

Authorities have linked the incident to existing gang disputes.

Federal prosecutors identified Kavon London Grant, Deandre Dontrell Wilson, Keith Jones, David Brian Lindsey, and Asa Houston as additional suspects.

They claimed that the culprits sought revenge against Rondo for his suspected involvement in the 2020 murder of Chicago rapper King Von in Atlanta, WGN-TV reports.

Lil Durk’s apprehension has sent shockwaves through the music industry, with fans and legal experts awaiting further developments.

The probe remains active as federal authorities continue gathering proof in this high-profile case.
