Bobrisky Denies Ever Defaming the Falanas

Controversial Nigerian social media personality and transgender woman, Okuneye Idris Olanrewaju, famously known as Bobrisky, has refuted defaming renowned human rights lawyer Femi Falana and his son, rapper Falz, during their demand for a retraction and apology over a reported defamatory audio recording.

The leaked call recording, which became public last month, reportedly involved Bobrisky claiming to have bribed the Falanas N10 million to secure a presidential pardon for his conviction earlier this year following money laundering charges against him.

Meanwhile, the crossdresser has denied the voice in the call recording as his, saying, “I, Okuneye Idris, aka Bobrisky, didn’t give Falz or his dad, Femi Falana, any bribe for pardon. As a matter of fact, no money was given to them.”

Bobrisky made the disclosure after Femi Falana and his son, Falz, issued a 12-hour deadline for an apology through a cease-and-desist letter signed by lawyers from Falana and Falana’s Chambers.

“The person who uploaded that audio online is solely responsible for its content," he insisted, adding that anyone claiming defamation should pursue the publisher, not him.
