Famous Nigerian singer and songwriter Tiwa Savage has asserted that poverty is a major factor contributing to the increasing number of Nigerian entertainers.

She claimed that the hardship the country is currently facing is making youths explore their talents.

The singer made the revelation while speaking on the ‘Shopping the Sneakers’ podcast.

Tiwa Savage said, “Living in Nigeria is hard.

“When you visit Nigeria, you will know why we produce numerous superstars. To survive in Nigeria is something else, so that’s why the artists that come out of Nigeria are just like hustlers. They are just hustling.”

Nigeria is Africa's leading entertainment hub. It has Africa’s largest movie, comedy, music, and fashion industries, with Nollywood being the second-largest movie industry in the world.

Tiwa Savage's latest single, "Toma Toma," has been trending in the media.

The singer took to Instagram to announce her new song, which featured Ruger. She appreciated her fans for their immense support and shared her excitement over the partnership.

Within hours of its release, the song quickly gained popularity on social media, with fans showering it with praise.
