Lagos State Announces Installation of CT Scan in Hospital

Lagos State Government has announced the installation of a Computed Tomography (CT) scan machine at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH).

The new equipment, which was installed at the hospital's Radiology Department, is expected to enhance diagnostic services and improve the overall healthcare delivery in the state.

The installation of the CT scan machine is part of the state government's efforts to upgrade healthcare facilities across Lagos.

The machine is designed to provide high-quality imaging services, aiding in the diagnosis and treatment of various medical conditions. This development is seen as a significant step towards improving the quality of healthcare services in the state.

The Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, stated that the installation of the CT scan machine is part of the government's commitment to ensuring that residents have access to world-class healthcare facilities.

He emphasized that the machine will significantly enhance the hospital's diagnostic capabilities, enabling doctors to make more accurate diagnoses and provide better treatment plans.

The Commissioner for Health, Prof. Akin Abayomi, highlighted the importance of the CT scan machine in improving the hospital's services.

He noted that the machine will be particularly beneficial for patients with conditions such as stroke, cancer, and trauma, where timely and accurate diagnosis is crucial.

The installation of the CT scan machine at LASUTH is part of a broader initiative by the Lagos State Government to upgrade healthcare infrastructure across the state.
