Akwa Ibom to Bury Late First Lady on November 29th

The family of Governor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom State has officially announced the burial arrangements of his wife, the late First Lady of Akwa Ibom State, Pastor (Mrs.) Patience Umo Eno.

According to reports, the burial is planned for November 29, 2024, with a funeral service at her country home in Ikot Ekpene Udo, Nsit Ubium LGA.

Governor Umo Eno, together with the grieving family and the Akwa Ibom State Government, finalised this plan to honour the late First Lady’s impactful life and lasting legacy.

On Friday, the formal announcement of her funeral was made by the Secretary to the State Government and Chairman of the Central Planning Committee, Enobong Uwah.

Uwah communicated the family’s gratitude for the outpouring of love and support from all over the country.

“We are deeply appreciative for the overwhelming prayers, tributes, and comforting words during this profoundly difficult period,” Uwah asserted.

He urged friends and well-wishers to join the family in the series of scheduled events to honour Pastor Patience Eno’s life.

According to newsmen, the First Lady died on September 26, 2024.

It was gathered that she passed on, leaving a legacy of compassion and faith that touched many lives throughout Akwa Ibom State and beyond.
