Nigerian social media personality and human rights activist, Martins Vicent Otse, also known professionally as VeryDarkMan, on Monday, October 21, 2024, alleged that famous social media personality and transgender, Okuneye Idris Olarenwaju, widely known as Bobrisky, has been apprehended by security operatives.

Otse reported that Bobrisky was apprehended at the Seme border while trying to flee to the Benin Republic to dodge the House of Representatives investigative hearing.

In a video recording shared via his Instagram page, VeryDarkMan said: “Bobrisky has been apprehended today at the Seme border while attempting to enter Benin Republic to avoid the current probe by the house of reps; he is reported being held by the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS).”

It would be recalled that Lagos local news reported in September 2024 that VeryDarkMan released an audio recording of Bobrisky asserting to have allegedly bribed EFCC operatives with the sum of N15 million.

During his conversation, the popular transgender woman also asserted not to have spent his six-month jail term in Kirikiri prison following the influence of his godfather.

The news led to a probe hearing by the House of Representatives, but Okuneye failed to appear before the panel, claiming to be sick.
