Cyberbullying: Police Deny Apprehension of Verydarkman

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has refuted reports that social media personality Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as Verydarkman, was arrested. 

The police said he was only invited for questioning on the allegations of cyber stalking, cyberbullying, and defamation of character.

A press release issued on Sunday, June 30, 2024, by SP Josephine Adeh, the FCT Police Public Relations Officer, said Verydarkman has since been freed after voluntarily giving his statement on the accusations.

According to Adeh, “contrary to the news making the rounds about the alleged apprehension of Martins Vincent Otse, famously known as Verydarkman, by the police, the FCT police command wishes to clarify that Verydarkman was not apprehended by the police but was only called for questioning on the accusations of cyberstalking, cyberbullying, and defamation of character.

He has since regained his freedom after voluntarily giving his statement on the accusations.
