EFCC arrests 74 internet fraudsters in Ogun

Members of the Ibadan Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), on Thursday, apprehended seventy-four (74) suspected internet fraudsters in Ogun State.

The anti-graft agency stated that the alleged fraudsters were detained at Government Residential Area, G.R.A, Shagamu, in Ogun State.

According to the Commission, their arrest resulted from surveillance and intelligence operations that uncovered their suspected involvement in internet-related crimes.

Among the items seized from them were seven exotic cars, three laptops, 124 mobile phones, one PlayStation 3 game, two motorcycles, and various incriminating documents.

The statement also mentioned that once investigations are concluded, the suspects will face charges in court.
