A disturbing incident shook residents of Inisa in the Odo-Otin local government area of Osun State, as two elderly friends were discovered in a pool of blood following a fight.

The two aged friends, Ali Baba, a Ghanaian in his sixties, and Kayode Olete, 52, engaged in a fight late on Thursday in their dwelling house at Okunoye compound in the town.

A resident in the area, Ismail Odewale, disclosed on Friday that passersby who heard noise from the isolated house did not intervene, as the two men were known to be close associates who usually settled their differences without external help.

According to him, a few minutes later, some other passersby noticed blood flowing from the house and alerted other residents in the area.

"Upon reaching the compound, we discovered the two men lying lifeless in a pool of their blood; hence, we called the attention of security operatives to the scene," Odewale said.

Confirming the incident, Kehinde Adeleke, Spokesperson for the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Osun Command, disclosed that the two men were already dead when officers arrived at the scene.
