Fire Guts Governor Mbah’s Pinnacle Oil Filling Station

Fire has gutted the Pinnacle Oil filling station, owned by Governor Peter Mbah of Enugu State.

According to reports, the station was set ablaze by unknown arsonists on Friday, September 20, 2024.

Witnesses revealed that the arsonists came in a Toyota Corolla car and carried out the activity.

However, the Enugu State Commissioner of Police, CP Kanayo Uzuegbu, who verified the incident, hinted that there were no casualties and the fire has been quenched.

He said, A fire incident took place at Pinnacle Filling Station, Agbani Road, Enugu, in the early hours of Friday, September 20, 2024.

“The fire was instantly quenched with the help of the operatives of both federal and state fire services, who immediately responded to the emergency situation.

There were no fatalities, but three vehicles in the queue to purchase fuel were set on fire. While the police have restored normalcy in the area.

Preliminary findings show that a fuel leak from one of the vehicles being refuelled at the station may have caused the fire.

However, the Commissioner of Police, CP Kanayo Uzuegbu, who led the police personnel to the scene, has directed the Deputy Commissioner of Police heading the State CID to conduct a thorough investigation into the incident.
