Kaduna Police Arrest Suspected Kidnapper, Recover Arms

The Operatives of Kaduna State Police Command have announced that they apprehended suspected members of a terrorist and kidnapping group in the state.

The Police Public Relations Officer of the command, ASP Mansir Hassan, confirmed the apprehension in a press statement on Thursday in Kaduna.

Hassan revealed that operatives deployed to the Commissioner of Police monitoring unit acting on credible intelligence nabbed the suspects on Feb. 12.

It was gathered that a suspect identified as Adamu Shuaibu from the Dumale village in Kagarko Local Government Area of the state, had in his possession an AK-47 Rifle at the time of his apprehension on Feb. 12.

The Commands Public Relations Officer stated that the suspect is a member of a bandits’ group terrorizing villages in Jere town of Kagarko LGA, noting that he would be charged to court after investigation.

Hassan noted that CP Audu Ali commended the operatives of the monitoring unit and promised to rid the state of criminal elements.

However, he advised residents of the state to give real information to the police to enable it to protect lives and property of the masses.
