The Kano State Government has directed the State’s Commissioner of Police to evacuate Aminu Ado Bayero, the 15th Emir of Kano, from the mini Palace in Nasarawa area of the Kano metropolis with immediate effect.

The state government said that the land on which the deposed emir is hiding is government property and that renovations, including the removal of a portion of its wall, have been approved.
Haruna Dederi, the State's Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, made the announcement during a press conference on Thursday night at the Government House in Kano.
The development came after Justice A.M. Liman gave an important ruling at Kano's Federal High Court earlier on Thursday.
