Katsina Gov Declares no Possibility of Negotiating with Bandits

During a courtesy visit to the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Christopher Gwabin Musa at the Defence Headquarters (DHQ) in Abuja, to commend the Armed Forces of Nigeria (AFN) for their invaluable support in curbing insecurity in Katsina State, he explained the necessity of an increased military presence to effectively address these security challenges.

He also took the opportunity to express his gratitude for the AFN's role in combating criminal activities and stressed the importance of providing adequate funding to ensure the military can carry out their duties without hindrance.

Furthermore, Governor Radda informed the CDS about the state's efforts in combatting crime through the establishment of the State Community Watch, which comprises dedicated individuals drawn from the state's youth and other committed residents, to assist the military in their fight against crime.

Highlighting the state's close proximity to Niger Republic, Governor Radda emphasized the need for enhanced military surveillance to prevent any potential security breaches along the border.

In response, Chief of Defence Staff General CG Musa appreciated the governor's visit and reassured him of the military's commitment to combat insecurity in Katsina State and across the nation.

General Musa also commended Governor Radda for his innovative approach in establishing the state security outfit, recognizing its potential to significantly reduce security threats.
