As the months progress, the Lagos State Government has issued a call to its residents, urging them to consistently adopt precautionary measures in all aspects of their lives to prevent disasters and emergency incidents.

The Permanent Secretary of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, Dr. Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, emphasized this message during a visit by fellows from the Lateef Jakande Leadership Academy to LASEMA.

He stressed the need for residents to change their approach to precaution, highlighting that implementing safety measures has a significant potential to prevent disasters and emergency incidents, thereby reducing casualties. Dr. Oke-Osanyintolu underlined the importance of discipline in effective emergency management and urged residents to prioritize safety precautions.

Beforehand, Engr. Olatunde Akinsanya, the Director of Operations at LASEMA, provided the visiting fellows with insights into LASEMA's operational procedures and emergency deployment strategies. He also guided the fellows through various departments of LASEMA, particularly those crucial to emergency interventions.

"The fellows were given access to the control room and call centers, among other units within LASEMA. During this visit, they gained a deeper understanding of the agency's emergency management processes and response mechanisms.

Ayisat Agbaje-Okunade, the Executive Secretary of the Lateef Jakande Leadership Academy, explained that the purpose of the visit was to enhance the fellows' comprehension of LASEMA's operations as part of their learning experience and leadership development."
