According to reports by journalists, the late Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lt. Gen. Taoreed Lagbaja, is set to be laid to rest in Abuja on Friday.

This was announced by Moshood Lagbaja, the immediate elder brother of the late COAS at a condolence visit by the St. Charles Grammar School Osogbo Old Boys Association (SCOBA) in Osogbo, Osun State.

Moshood Lagbaja affirmed that even though the military has not released the remains of the late Lt. Gen. Lagbaja to the family, they have promised that the COAS will receive a fitting burial in Abuja.

Meanwhile, a condolence letter was presented to the family by the SCOBA delegation during the visit, which was signed by Tade Adekunle, the Global President, and General Secretary, Leye Odetoyinbo. The delegation was chaired by Engineer Adesina Salami, the 1st Vice President of SCOBA.

Salami applauded the late COAS, describing him as “an extraordinary individual, a proud Charlean, and a great military leader who served the nation with steadfast commitment.” He said, “Lt. Gen. Lagbaja’s remarkable life, selfless service, and enduring legacy inspire us. He made an unforgettable impact on the Charlean family worldwide.”

He ended with words of comfort for the mourning family: “May the Almighty God’s peace, love, and strength sustain you as you navigate this difficult time. May the cherished memories of Lt. Gen. Lagbaja continue to inspire generations to come.”
