The Nigerian Police Force took a strong stance against misconduct by its personnel, dismissing one inspector and demoting three others while sanctioning others for crimes and irregularities. 

The Force Headquarters announced the development in an official correspondent post on the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) X handle on Friday night.

This action reflects the Inspector General of Police, Olukayode Egbetokun's dedication to upholding professionalism and integrity in the police force.

The Force stressed its zero-tolerance policy towards indiscipline, ensuring that officers serve with honour and protect the public. All reported cases against officers are thoroughly investigated, with appropriate sanctions imposed.

However, Inspector Adabo Mohammed was dismissed for involvement in criminal conspiracy, armed robbery, kidnapping, and corrupt practices. He was part of a gang that robbed a resident in Gwagwalada of the sum of N29.8m, and kidnapped Ikechukwu Emmanuel Okafor in Tunga Manje, demanding a ransom of N4.4m. . He now faces criminal charges.

Also, three inspectors, Osagie Efford, Semiu Agbekin, and Francis Ahuen, were demoted to sergeants for extorting motorists in Abuja.
