NPA Steps to Organise Sale in Naira for Crude Oil

The Nigerian Ports Authority, NPA, in partnership with other government agencies, has finalised plans to carry out the sale of crude oil to Dangote’s refinery and other refined products in Naira.

The managing director of NPA, Dr. Abdulkadir Dantsoho, announced at the Lagos Headquarters of the NPA that the government's plan to have the NPA oversee the sale of crude oil and petroleum products to Dangote Refinery in Naira has begun.

Dantsoho also affirmed that the agency will collaborate with other stakeholders to set up a One-Stop Shop that will organise service provision from all regulatory and security agencies and other stakeholders to ensure a smooth implementation of this initiative.

He said, “We are also setting up a one-stop shop that will organise service provision from all administrative and security forces and other stakeholders to ensure a smooth execution of this initiative.

“We are balanced to collaborate and provide the efficiencies vital to deliver on this national essential of ensuring the accessibility of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) and other petroleum commodities.”

The head of NPA, who presided over the inter-agency stakeholders’ meeting, stated that the agency is ready to work with everyone involved in the execution of the policy to make sure that products are made available nationwide.
