Osun Governor Orders Registration of Citizens with Disabilities

Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has directed that all citizens with disabilities be registered. The governor's Special Adviser on Special Needs, Kamil Aransi, announced that the registration which began on Monday will last for 10 days, concluding on Friday, June 7, 2024. The registration is free of charge.

Aransi explained that this exercise will help the government accurately determine the number of people with special needs and understand their specific requirements, including physical, sensory, cognitive, and intellectual impairments. 

He emphasized that the initiative aims to enhance government planning and support for persons with special needs, ultimately fostering an inclusive society with equal opportunities for all.
