Pastor Abducted from Farm in Ondo State; Police Confirm Kidnapping

Gunmen have reportedly abducted Anthony Ebele, a cleric from a well-known Pentecostal church in Ondo State, while he was at his farm.

Sources indicate that Pastor Ebele was taken on Saturday evening from his Ogbese Farm in the Akure North Council area.

Reports indicate that the kidnappers have established communication with the pastor's family. However, details of their negotiations remain unknown as of the time of this report.

A relative, speaking on condition of anonymity, confirmed that the abductors have contacted them but have not yet demanded a ransom. "They have confirmed that Pastor Ebele is with them and promised to get back to us soon. We are anxiously waiting," the relative said.

State police spokesperson Funmi Odunlami confirmed the abduction, stating, that the complainant was expected to meet with the police to trace the victim but did not show up.
