Six individuals lost their lives in a multiple road accident that occurred on Saturday morning at Imesi-Ile, as reported in a First Information Report (FIR) delivered by Agnes Ogungbemi, the spokesperson of the Osun Sector Command of the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC), on behalf of Sector Commander Henry Benemaisia.

The accident transpired along Imesi-Ile Hill due to brake failure and loss of control, involving two vehicles: a red DAF commercial trailer and a blue MACK commercial trailer, both lacking registration numbers.

A total of 17 adult males were involved in the incident, with 11 sustaining various degrees of injuries.

According to the report, "Recovered items and victims' properties were secured by the Nigerian Police personnel, who transported them to their station in Imesi-Ile. Five deceased victims were taken to UniOsun Teaching Hospital Osogbo by the police personnel from the Imesi-Ile Police Division before the FRSC team's arrival.

One male victim was found trapped beneath the truck, prompting the FRSC team to employ an extricating machine to safely remove the trapped body from under the vehicle."
