Stanley Okoronkwo, Former Enugu Rangers Player, is dead.

Stanley Okoronkwo, a legendary footballer born in Anambra, is dead.

Ogechukwu Ajuzie, a source conversant with the history of the Rangers, revealed the incident to journalists on Monday. He affirmed that Okoronkwo died in a private hospital in Enugu on Sunday.

Okoronkwo began his career in 1970 with Highlander FC in Jos. He later went on to play for Enugu's Vasco Da Gama and Rangers International FC.

He was a famous player for the Rangers in the 1970s and was known as the Englishman due to his neat style of play. He passed away in an unnamed private hospital in Enugu on Sunday, June 2, 2024.

According to reports by newsmen, during Okoronkwo's career as a footballer, he won the African Winners Cup, two FA Cups, and three national league titles, amongst other accolades. He was married to Ifeoma and blessed with children.
