The Ipole farm village in Agbado-Ekiti, in the Ayekire Local Government Area, is experiencing palpable tension after it was reported that a deaf and dumb man named Sunday Alabi decapitated a man named Sikiru, also known as Badoo.

The deaf and dumb man had gone to Sikiru's farm to steal some maize, according to sources in the farm settlement. When Sikiru walked out to confront him, the suspect attacked him with a machete, nearly severing his head.

The victim was left in a pool of his own blood by the attacker, who left the scene right away. Until some other farmers noticed him, they reported the incident to the police.

The Ekiti Police Command spokesman, DSP Sunday Abutu, verified the incident when called and added that the suspect has been taken into custody.
