Tinubu Approves Uzoma Nwagba's Appointment As CEO Of CREDICORP

The Nigerian Consumer Credit Corporation (CREDICORP) has appointed Engr. Uzoma Nwagba as its Managing Director and Chief Executive, with President Bola Tinubu's approval.

According to a statement released on Wednesday by the presidential spokesperson, Ajuri Ngelale, Nwagba's nomination to the CREDICORP Board, together with the appointments of other eligible Nigerians, is intended to accelerate the process of providing consumer credit access to Nigerians.

In addition to Nwagba, the statement listed Dr. Armstrong Ume Takang as a non-executive director (MOFI nominee), Mrs. Aisha Abdullahi as the executive director (Credit, Risk & Portfolio)/CRO, Ms. Olanike Kolawole as the executive director (Operations)/COO, and Otunba Aderemi Abdul as the board chairman and independent non-executive director.

The others are Dr. Peter Iwegbu, Non-Executive Director (NIMC Nominee); Mr. Mohammed Nasiru Abbas, Non-Executive Director (FMITI Nominee); Mr. Marvin Nadah, Non-Executive Director (FCCPC Nominee); and the representative of the Federal Ministry of Finance as a Non-Executive Director.

Ngelale continued, saying that the President expects that the new members of this vital institutional vehicle's Board would use their extensive expertise, skill, and commitment to their roles in order to fulfil CREDICORP's mission of expediting consumer credit access for millions of Nigerians.
