VDM Calls for Clarity After Receiving N100M Anonymous Donation

Popular Nigerian social media personality and activist, Martin Vincent Otse, popularly widely known as Verydarkman, has urged the management of Zenith Bank Plc to investigate the account of his newly launched NGO as the donations he requested have reached N170 million.

Otse affirmed he chose to cry out after receiving an alert of a massive donation of N100 million into the NGO account from a nameless donor, making the total contributions to N170 million.

According to VDM, as he is also called by fans, the unforeseen deposit has led to doubts about whether someone might be trying to set him up for financial violations, such as money laundering.

In a video recording he shared via his X (formally Twitter) handle on Thursday, VeryDarkMan confirmed the massive contribution from a single source has left him restless, and he is asking for guidance from the public.

“Please Nigerians, come to my aid. An anonymous person sent N100 million into my NGO account. I hope someone is not attempting to frame me. I currently have N170 million inside my NGO account,” he asserted.

Additionally, he charged Zenith Bank Plc to find out the source of the money to clear his name for fraud-related transactions.

“@zenithbankplc Please examine my NGO account; I don’t know what is going on. I hope I'm not being set up... I AM NOT INTO MONEY LAUNDERING. I DO NOT DO FRAUD (FOR THE RECORD). Nigerians bear me witness; I don’t know what’s up with the account.”
