Imasuangbon Calls for Akpata's Disqualification in Edo Election

Boluwatife Adedokun

Kenneth Imasuangbon, a governorship aspirant of the Labour Party, has lodged court petitions seeking to disqualify Olumide Akpata, the party's candidate for the Edo State governorship election.

Imasuangbon alleges irregularities in Akpata's nomination process and accuses him of providing false information to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Imasuangbon demands the annulment of the party's primary, disqualification of Akpata, and a fresh primary within 30 days.

He also contests Akpata's identity discrepancy as stated in the form EC9, urging his disqualification and barring him from the upcoming election.
