Governor Nasir Idris of Kebbi State swore in 21 local government officials on Tuesday, in repalcement of the LGA Chairmen and Secretaries earlier dismissed last month.

The governor gave the newly installed officials instructions to maintain a strong relationship with the people at the grassroots level, stating that the sack of the former chairmen came about as a result of the expiration of their terms on February 5.

At the Tuesday inaugural ceremony for the new administrators at the Presidential Lodge in Birnin Kebbi, the governor disclosed his expectations, saying that as leaders, they are expected to remain in their respective local governments rather than relocate to the state capital.

He exhorted them to work hard and diligently to earn back the trust that has been placed in them.

Idris stated that to allow the younger politicians learn from the more seasoned ones, the new group of LG administrators is a combination of both young and veteran politicians.

The governor was reassured by Dahiru Nayaya-Ambursa, the Sole Administrator of Birnin Kebbi, on behalf of the other administrators, that they would continue to support the administration's achievements, and would not let him down.

Nayaya-Ambursa promised to use every effort to promote constructive growth in their respective local government areas.
