LP, Only Party For Peter Obi to Win Election in 2027 –Labour Party

Idongesit Udoewah

The Labour Party has stated that it is still the only platform for Peter Obi to contest and win the 2027 presidential election. Ayo Olorunfemi, the party's National Vice Chairman, claimed this in an interview with journalists.

Recall that Obi, who ran for president under the Labour Party in the 2023 election, has been pressured by some members of his Obedient support group to leave the party, which has been in turmoil since the elections ahead of the 2027 polls.

In response to the request for Obi to leave the party, Olorunfemi stated that true Obidients would not advocate that Obi leave the party.

Olorunfemi stated that the former Anambra State governor is the best president Nigeria has yet to have, and that by God's grace, he will win in 2027.

He expressed optimism that the Labour Party would emerge from its crisis stronger, stating that Julius Abure's leadership would fight for the party's unity and peace and welcome the Lamidi Apapa camp back into the fold.

He stated that Apapa and Abayomi Arambabi are still party members and that the reconciliation process is still in progress. In order to fill several posts that were unfilled at the previous convention, Olorunfemi stated that the party might hold a special convention.
