The New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) in Ondo State has commenced the sale of Expression of Interest and Nomination forms for the upcoming local government elections scheduled for January 18, 2025.

This was announced by the party's State Publicity Secretary, Oluwafemi Olaleye, will run from September 30 to October 18, 2024, providing an opportunity for interested candidates to secure their candidacies for various local government positions.

In a bid to foster inclusivity, the NNPP is offering a 50% discount on nomination forms specifically for women, Persons Living with Disabilities (PWDs), and youths aged 30 and below.

Additionally, a flat rate has been established for the Expression of Interest form, aimed at encouraging broader participation in the electoral process.

Olaleye emphasized the party's commitment to empowering a diverse array of candidates who can effectively represent all segments of society.

He expressed optimism that these elections will herald a new era of governance characterized by development, transparency, and accountability.

"This initiative reflects our dedication to inclusivity and the belief that everyone has a role to play in the governance of our communities," Olaleye stated.

He acknowledged that financial barriers often deter qualified individuals from running for office and reiterated that the discounts are intended to alleviate these challenges.

Encouraging aspiring candidates to seize this opportunity, he remarked, "Your community needs you, and this is your chance to make a difference."
