The Osun State Police Command paraded Olatunji Damilola, also known as "Damoshe," on Wednesday for alleged possession of firearms and involvement in armed robbery.

Damilola, 22, was implicated in a violent brawl on May 18 in the Balogun Agori area of the state capital, which resulted in the death of one person. The Public Relations Officer of the command, SP Yemisi Opalola, explained that a special police team had tracked the suspect before his arrest.

"Upon interrogation, the suspect led the police team to their armory, where four pump-action guns, three cut-to-size barrel guns, one locally made pistol, one jackknife, ten cutlasses, and thirty-three live cartridges of ammunition were recovered," Opalola stated.

She added that efforts are ongoing to apprehend other suspects connected to the case, and that Damilola will be charged to court following the completion of the investigation.

The Commissioner of Police, Umar Abba, has urged the public to provide information to the police to help curb crime in the state.
