Super Eagles Ready to Board Flight Back to Nigeria

The Nigeria's Super Eagles players and personnel are preparing to leave Libya after experiencing over 14 hours of ill-treatment from the host country on Sunday.

Abike Dabiri-Erewa, the Chairman of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, confirmed the development on X that the Super Eagles team is now leaving Libya. She wished them a safe journey.

Bruno Onyemaechi, a Super Eagles player, confirmed that the team will soon return to Nigeria. He wrote, “Me and Libya, I don wash my hands commot. Nothing concerns me and Una again. Thank God I’m going back.”

The Nigerian Super Eagles team had earlier been stranded after Libyan authorities reportedly refused to grant approval for their chartered flight to refuel and return to Nigeria.
