Tanguy Ndombele, a French midfielder, will depart Tottenham following the mutual termination of his contract, the Premier League team said.

Ndombele left Ligue 1 team Lyon in July 2019 for a then-club record 60 million euros (£53.8 million) to sign a six-year contract with Spurs.

On his debut, he scored the first of his ten goals in 91 club games against Aston Villa.

Nevertheless, he had many form and fitness setbacks during his time at Spurs, and in 2022 he returned to Lyon on loan.

After playing on loan for Napoli during the 2022–2023 season, the 27-year-old went on to win leagues in Italy and Turkey before joining Galatasaray the previous season.

Ndombele's contract with the Spurs was still valid for one year; however, as of June 30, both sides had opted to split ways.

On January 9, 2022, he made his Tottenham debut in a third-round FA Cup match against Morecambe.

The North London team praised Ndombele for his contribution to the team and sent him best wishes for the future in a statement.
