The recently concluded 2nd Indonesia-Africa Forum in Bali has resulted in the establishment of 32 business partnership agreements valued at over $3.5 billion.

This development was reported by the Director for African Affairs at Indonesia's Directorate General of Asian, Pacific, and African Affairs, as communicated through the Nigerian-Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NICCI).

Among the agreements, 16 were specifically signed between Indonesian micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and African companies, highlighting the growing collaboration between these regions.

The Nigerian delegation was led by Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris Malagi, who represented President Bola Tinubu at the forum.

NICCI President Ishmael Balogun also played a key role, leading the Nigerian business delegation that included various members from the chamber.

During the three-day event, specific business forums were organized, focusing on industry-relevant topics such as mining, agriculture, renewable energy, health, and food security.

These forums were spearheaded by Indonesian Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Pahala Mansury and involved discussions with representatives from Nigeria, Kenya, and South Africa.

Additionally, the forum hosted the 3rd Nigerian-Indonesian Investment and Trade Forum (NIITF 2024). The keynote address was delivered by Yomi Benson, CEO of Sahara Energy Singapore PTE Ltd., with other notable participants including executives from Oxytane International Ltd., Signature Global Real Estate, AfroKana Ltd., Seune Integrated Concepts Ltd., and Vutomi Energy (PTY) Ltd.
