FirstBank has officially denied rumours regarding a system upgrade, clarifying that a recent notification about transitioning to a new cloud-based platform was intended solely for its vendors, not customers.

In a statement released on Friday, the bank explained that the communication sent to vendors had been misinterpreted and inaccurately reported.

The notice was focused on moving from the existing I-Supplier Platform to a new Cloud-based Supplier Platform, aimed at improving vendor capabilities and benefits.

"The message, which was misinterpreted and reported incorrectly, was directed exclusively at our vendors," the bank stated.

"It outlines the transition from our current I-Supplier Platform—an automated system connecting us to suppliers—to a new Cloud-based Supplier Platform designed to offer enhanced capabilities and benefits for our vendors."

FirstBank emphasized that there is no ongoing system upgrade affecting customer services. "Please be informed that no system upgrade is currently underway, and all our customer applications are fully operational," the statement continued.

"We are not experiencing any disruption to our services, and our banking systems, customer transactions, and channels will remain unaffected by the enhanced supplier platform." Press Tab to write more...
