Davido Outshines Wizkid on Spotify Charts

Afrobeats singer David Adedeji Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has bragged after he retained his record as the only artist to occupy the top 16 spots on the Spotify Nigeria Daily Top Songs Chart for two straight days despite a new album from his rival, Wizkid.

According to reports by journalists, Wizkid’s new album, ‘Morayo,’ broke several records on Spotify, but songs from the album failed to occupy the top 16 spots on the Spotify Nigeria Daily Top Songs Chart for two straight days, a record set by Davido’s ‘Timeless’ last year.

Due to Wizkid’s failure to break Davido’s record, a music-surveying platform, The Data Dash, wrote through X, “@davido remains the only artist to occupy the Top 16 spots on the Spotify Nigeria Daily Top Songs Chart for 2 straight days, with all new songs from his album ‘Timeless.”
