Ex-BBN Winner Karen Igho Opens Up On Domestic Abuse, Homelessness

A former Big Brother Africa winner, Karen Igho, has disclosed that she has been homeless for over a year.

Igho, in a post via X (formally Twitter), revealed that she has been homeless because she is ending her union with her divorced husband, Yaroslav Rakos.

She, however, affirmed that her husband should be brought to justice if anything happens to her and urged Nigerians and Africans in general to remember her and her children in their prayers.

“I'm going through a divorce with my husband. I have been without a home for a year, and I have been molested sexually and physically, so if something goes wrong, ask or hold the man who brought me to a land where I know no one; he is trying to take custody of the children, claiming I'm mentally ill.

“God bless Nigeria and Africa. My heart prays for your daughter of the soil. This past year has been difficult for me. Please, African, pray for my children and me. If you don’t hear from me again, know that I have been murdered; I am not mentally ill and don’t do drugs,” she added.

It was gathered that Karen Igho and her husband tied the knot in 2014 and are blessed with two kids; however, they have had numerous marital issues along the way, leading to the recent call for separation.

After winning the reality TV show, she delved into acting, appearing in the M-Net series Tinsel and the movie Blackberry Babes Reloaded, among others.
