Nigerian singer, rapper, and songwriter Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has urgently requested that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) pardon him for spraying money on his fans.

This is due to the six-month jail sentence given to crossdresser Idris Okuneye, also known as Bobrisky, following naira abuse as well as the filing of a three-count charge against Cubana Chief Priest, the socialite by the EFCC, alleging misuse of the Nigerian currency.

The singer, in an Instagram live session on Tuesday, advised his fans to open bank accounts, stating that he would only make transfers from now on.

His words were, “I didn’t vandalise the naira. I help a lot of people; after God na government, please pardon me if you have videos of me spraying money; no more spraying of money.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has also announced that it is investigating several celebrities who may have been involved in naira mutilations.
