This decision aims to provide further relief for the residents of the state in the wake of the fuel subsidy removal.

Led by Mallam Dikko Umaru Radda, the Katsina cabinet sanctioned this allocation during its meeting held yesterday.

Addressing the press after the state executive council meeting on Wednesday, Dr. Sani Magaji Ingawa, the State's Commissioner of Works, Housing, and Transport, shared that the buses would be utilized for intercity transportation at affordable rates, facilitating easier movement for the state's residents.

Ingawa specifically stated that, as part of their planned efforts to alleviate the challenges faced by the state's residents, certain buses would be designated to transport students within the state.

Governor Radda had previously instructed the State-owned Transport Authority not to raise the cost of transportation for its intrastate services, in response to the removal of the fuel subsidy.
