The suspect was apprehended after the news was reported to the Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Welfare in a statement on Wednesday by Chidinma Ikeanyionwu, the media aide to the state commissioner for women affairs and social welfare, Ify Obinabo.

According to Ikeanyionwu, the news came from Chief Chikadibia Okeke, President-General of the Isuofia People’s Assembly.

She noted that the culprit was handed over to the police for further questioning, after which he would be charged in court.

P-G of the Isuofia People’s Assembly revealed that they caught Okoye over the weekend having sexual relationships with lots of boys and young men and swiftly put a call through to the Commissioner for Women Affairs, who instructed them to apprehend him instantly.

“When interrogated, the suspect, a native of Okpoko village, Isuofia, and a retired teacher, who earlier denied the same-sex allegations on the basis that it was his haters at work, later disclosed that he had at some point romanced some of the boys, held their sexual organs, but never penetrated them as they claimed.

Two of his victims, who asked to remain anonymous, said the suspect would trick them. He would either pretend to offer them financial help or a chance to earn money by doing chores at his house.
