Osun State People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Chairman, Hon. Sunday Bisi, has declared that the All Progressives Congress (APC) will not regain power in the state, citing the successes of Governor Ademola Adeleke's administration as evidence of the opposition’s shortcomings.

Speaking during a program organized by the League of Veteran Journalists in Osun State, Hon. Bisi emphasized that the achievements under Adeleke have exposed the failures of the previous APC-led government, making it clear to the people that the APC cannot rule Osun again.

Joined by key officials such as Comrade Temitope Mustapha, TESCOM Chairman, and Hon. Mayowa Oloso, OSBC Board Chairman, the discussion covered various aspects of state governance, including education policy, leadership, and political developments in Osun.

During the session, Hon. Bisi addressed the recent controversy surrounding the departure of Elder Peter Babalola from the PDP. According to Bisi, Babalola’s suspension was based on evidence of his intention to defect to the APC, a clear breach of party ethics. Babalola later resigned from the party following his suspension.

Highlighting the accomplishments of Adeleke's administration, Bisi pointed to major initiatives such as infrastructure development, poverty alleviation programs, and advancements at the Osun State Broadcasting Corporation (OSBC), including the launch of state-of-the-art broadcast equipment and the employment of 66 freelance staff.

On the Ilesa Water Project, Bisi noted the government’s efforts to expedite the project’s completion through consultations with the Ministry of Water and key stakeholders.

In the realm of education, the PDP Chairman praised the appointment of capable leaders like Comrade Temitope Mustapha as TESCOM Chairman and the ongoing teacher recruitment exercise, which is expected to conclude soon.

Bisi also touched on party discipline, explaining that the leadership’s refusal to reabsorb Dotun Babayemi, due to his anti-party actions, led to the departure of Chief Shauib Oyedokun from the PDP.
